What started from a pair of pink linen pants that shrunk and were lookin’ like I was waiting for a flood, and a swimsuit cover-up that I never used because it always wrinkled, have now become a pretty pink blouse that will be perfect for hot summer days 🎀☀️🧵

She started life as linen pants, a cotton beach cover-up, and a magenta pillowcase — and somehow became the most perfect pink summer blouse (the final project…remember the prototype last week?) 💖☀️

Here’s the chaotic part: I was mid-cut on the sleeves when I realized I didn’t have enough flower fabric. Turns out those magenta pillowcases I thrifted last month were meant to be! The sleeves became their own thing, the side ties carry that pop of color through, and honestly? The mismatch made her better. More interesting. More her. #allpinkeverything

The fabric used was a cotton bedsheet…thrifted 🤫 I needed something cheap and easy to use as practice fabric for my first project in case of mistakes. Not bad huh? I’ll definitely be wearing this IRL.

Next I’ll move on to my final project using good quality fabric from some clothes I never wear anymore #upcyclingclothes is the new cool 👚

True story: Never sewed a day in my life. Bought a sewing machine and didn’t touch it for almost 3 weeks. Finally started cutting a sewing pattern for a puff sleeve blouse on a Monday and finished the prototype on a Friday. Before making the sleeves puffy, I did a fitting and loved the sleeves loose instead so decided to keep them like this.

Since day one of sewing, already obsessed. My hands are busy, my brain is quiet, and honestly? I’m kind of a natural 🧵🦄
